Elena Galván

While maintaining her private studio, Elena is currently an Adjunct Voice Instructor at Lynn University and Nova Southeastern University. In recent years, Elena has been an Adjunct Voice Professor at Broward College, the Voice Instructor for the Girl Choir of South Florida, and an Adjunct Voice Teacher at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek, FL. Elena was a returning Voice Faculty member at Ithaca College’s Summer Music Academy, and taught private lessons and repertoire classes as a Visiting Guest Teacher at Ithaca College and Cornell University. She has maintained her private voice studio since completing her teaching internships at Ithaca College, working with students ages twelve to eighty in classical voice, musical theater, jazz, and pop from amateur to the pre-professional level. Elena was also a Dana Intern with the nationally renowned Ithaca Children’s Choir while attending Ithaca College. Elena has students who have gone on to study music at such schools as Vanderbilt University, Temple University, New York University, Lynn University, St. Olaf College of Music, AMDA, and Ithaca College, and has students who have successfully auditioned for competitions, summer performance programs, and school entrance examinations across the country.
Elena has trained in the United States and Italy with internationally regarded teachers, including Catherine Cook, Patrice Pastore, Barbara Honn, and Benita Valente. While pursuing her operatic career, Elena has worked with young and aspiring singers through educational outreach programs with the San Francisco Opera Guild, Florida Grand Opera, Virginia Opera, Kentucky Opera, and Livermore Valley Opera.
Elena holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Ithaca College and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Jack Marhsall

Jack Marshall is a Florida-based musician and educator, certified to teach K-12 music in the state of Florida, currently in the final semester of his BME in Choral Music Education at Florida State University. As part of his degree, he is completing a semester-long teaching internship with Broward County Public Schools this fall.
A South Florida native, Jack developed a passion for music through years of involvement in school music ensembles and the South Florida community. As a high school student, he served as a choir section leader and the middle school choir Teaching Assistant at North Broward Preparatory School. Outside of school, he was a longtime member of the Florida Singing Sons, where he served as a section leader, theory instructor, rehearsal pianist, and Head Chorister during his senior year. While at FSU, Jack worked extensively with music students in both individual and group settings across elementary, middle, and high school age groups. He was an intern conductor, teacher, accompanist, and field experience rehearsal assistant with the Capital Children’s Chorus, where he taught and performed a combination of unison and two-part choral music spanning multiple genres and styles to children in grades K through 8. He also served as a musician and educator at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tallahassee as a choir singer, a music theory instructor at their Summer Choir Camp, and a piano and music theory teacher at their after-school Choir School program. Jack was also a two-year executive board member of the FSU chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. He initially served as the Digital Director, ran the organization’s social media and helped with event outreach, before becoming the Campus Relations Director, where he helped plan and promote events to build connections within FSU and with chapters. While Jack was a board member, the chapter won the 2025 Collegiate Chapter of the Year award at the national ACDA convention in Dallas.
Independent of his work at FSU, Jack taught private voice, piano, and music theory lessons via Zoom to students in South Florida. Through his private lessons, he was able to help students get into state-level honor choirs and earn scholarships to high school arts programs. Jack is excited to return to the South Florida area and begin teaching at the Elena Galván Music Studio, where he will teach voice, piano, music theory, and specific preparation courses for state-level honor choirs and more.
